Singaporean soprano Shimona Rose competes in the prestigious Pendine International Voice of the Future competition at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales.

One of the festival's flagship competitions, the event brings together promising classical singers from around the world, showcasing their artistry through contrasting repertoire from opera, oratorio and art song. Competitors progress through preliminary and semi-final rounds before two finalists compete for the coveted Pendine Trophy and £3,000 first prize.

Update: Shimona was awarded the 2024 Pendine International Voice of the Future, following her performances across all three rounds of the competition.
